St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin!

This has been the most magical St. Patrick’s Day I have every experienced. So full of energy and excitement, the streets were crowded with thousands of people donning their green accessories and Irish flags. Music was blasting from every pub I walked past and everyone was in good spirits.

I was so excited to wear the gold coin leggings that I bought from the yoga studio I work at. I thought, why not! This is the perfect time to wear them!

My friend  and I swung by my favorite pub, P. Mac’s for a celebratory pint! It is centrally located and I love the dim lighting and vintage feel to it. They even have board games you can bring to your table if you want to play with your friends over a few drinks!

One of the downsides of solo female travel:

My friends have class tomorrow at 8:30am and a jam-packed schedule all weekend so they can’t partake in any shenanigans this evening, which means I don’t have anyone to pub crawl with. And drinking alone in a foreign country and getting myself home at night is the worst idea ever…so I won’t be partying this evening.

However, I did enjoy my drinks this afternoon as I was nursing the hangover from last night’s reunion with my friends.  But most importantly, I got to spend the day with maybes friend and enjoy her company. We popped into a pub that had a basement dance floor and had a great time busting some moves before she headed home.

It was an absolutely fabulous day, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. This is definitely a St. Patrick’s Day for the books, and I hope to come back and celebrate here again. The energy of this city today was more than I ever could have imagined, so much love, so much happiness, so much booze. The perfect ingredients for a true Irish celebration.
