I can’t. Believe. I’m here.
Walking through the streets this morning by myself, I felt such a strong sense of belonging…Like I was home. It genuinely felt as if no time had passed since the last time I was here, almost a year and a half ago, as I navigated the streets with ease.
I needed to run some errands in city centre (St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Center has everything you’d need!) so I took my time walking about, taking it all in. It still didn’t feel real. I popped into Trinity College to take a look around and it was just as beautiful as I remembered it.
I found a cute little bakery on Capel Street called Camerino and it had the most delicious and health conscious baked goods for extrememly great prices! I needed to kill some time before meeting my friends for lunch, so it was the perfect coffee spot to journal in.
Finally got some bonding time with some of my old classmates after they got out of stage combat and it was so SO lovely. It truly felt as if I was still in school with them. We had an absolutely fab night at The Turk’s Head in Temple Bar!
Mingling at the bar, I met three fabulous ladies from London who left their husbands and kids at home so they could do a girls weekend in Dublin (I genuinely thought they looked way too young to be married with kids and they loved that so they bought my friend and I a shot…um, THANKS!). I also met two very sweet Austrians who have been working in a paper factory since they were 15 and they even tried to teach me some Austrian words! I definitely don’t remember what those words were…
Running on 5 hours of sleep, I was absolutely exhausted by the end of my 19-hour day…but every second was worth it.
